THREE GENERATIONS SERVE ON SHORT-TERM MISSION TRIP
by Annette Watson

Going on a short term mission trip with our children and grandchildren was one of the most rewarding and fulfilling events of my life.  Our family has maintained a close relationship through the years; however, on a recent medical mission to a third world country , members of my family displayed

AROUND THE CORNER

Small Group Opportunities: Let your light shine and deepen the experience of your Community Group by serving together in the community.  Serving together increases your effectiveness (Eccl. 4:9-12), enhances the community in your group (Eph. 4:16), and is a witness to the world that Christ has been sent by God (John 17:23).  We are encouraging every Community Group to serve together at least one time this year beyond ShareFest.  For year-long Small Group service opportunities click HERE.

One Church – One School – One Neighborhood:  This year’s service opportunities will continue to reflect our strategic focus - the South Midtown Partnership.  This is a “one church-one school-one neighborhood” partnership, where we are focusing our iniatives for the next five years.  At the same time, we will continue our involvement with the many excellent ministries throughout the community.

Mentoring:  In addition to the many service opportunities structured for groups, we are also highlighting mentoring opportunities because of the strategic difference mentoring makes.  If hundreds in our church family would simply commit to give one hour per week to one child in a school or ministry, the spiritual transformation in our community would go beyond anything we have known. ^ top

AROUND THE WORLD
International Community Strategies is the work of the church to become an irresistible influence to an unbelieving world by…

  • Planting new churches
  • Strengthening existing churches
  • Training pastors and other church workers
  • Ministering to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of lost and needy people
  • Discipling and sending laborers for the Lord’s work

Fellowship Bible Church is privileged to partner with ministries around the world.  The flags displayed in our parade of flags outside the Administration Building at FBC represent countries where those partnerships exist.  We invite you to remember our partners through prayer and consider serving on a short-term trip. ^ top
